High Density Voice network modules combine WAN Interface Card (WIC) and Voice Interface Card (VIC) functionality to provide unparalleled flexibility and power. The high density voice network module is capable of supporting up to 60 simultaneous mid-complexity voice compression codecs / algorithms. The HDV network module converts voice and fax into IP packets or frames that can be transmitted as VoIP over a variety of transport technologies (channelized T1, Frame Relay, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), and others).
